Center for Mexican American Studies

Since 1970, the mission of CMAS has been to serve Texas and the nation as a leader in the intellectual development of Mexican American Studies. The establishment of CMAS represents an institutional recognition of the importance of the Mexican American people in the history, culture, and society of the United States.


City of Austin

The Cultural Arts Division (CAD) of the Economic Growth and Redevelopment Services Office provides leadership and management for the City’s cultural arts programs and for the development of arts and cultural industries as an economic development strategy on behalf of the City.


Texas Commission

The Texas Commission on the Arts’ mission is to develop a receptive climate for the arts in Texas. To accomplish this mission, TCA awards grants, promotes the arts and provides specialized services to the arts and cultural industries.


National Endowment
for the Arts

The National Endowment for the Arts is a public agency dedicated to supporting excellence in the arts, both new and established; bringing the arts to all Americans; and providing leadership in arts education. Established by Congress in 1965 as an independent agency of the federal government, the Endowment is the nation's largest annual funder of the arts, bringing great art to all 50 states, including rural areas, inner cities, and military bases.


Puffin Foundation Ltd

Since its founding in 1983, the Puffin Foundation Ltd. has sought to open the doors of artistic expression by providing grants to artists and art organizations who are often excluded from mainstream opportunities due to their race, gender, or social philosophy.

National Association of Latino Arts and Culture

The National Association of Latino Arts and Culture (NALAC) is the nation’s leading nonprofit organization exclusively dedicated to the promotion, advancement, development, and cultivation of the Latino arts field. In this capacity, NALAC stimulates, facilitates intergenerational dialogues among disciplines, languages, and traditional and contemporary expressions.

The Patrick and Aimee Butler Family Foundation was established in St. Paul, Minnesota by Patrick and Aimee Mott Butler in 1951. Pat and Aimee remained active in the Foundation throughout their lives and the Foundation continues as a lasting reminder of their wisdom, generosity, and love. Today, the Butler Family Foundation is governed by the children and grandchildren of Pat and Aimee Butler. The legacy of the founders continues in the Foundation's priorities of supporting human services, including chemical dependency programs, and the arts.
