For the month of February the Oak Springs branch of Austin Public Libraries will be hosting an exhibition celebrating Black History Month. On September 15th, the Serie Project’s retrospective exhibit, titled Chicano 15, opened at UT Brownsville’s art gallery.
Many thanks to all involved and to those who helped to make this show a success. The artwork will remain on display for approximately a month, so check it out if you are in the area.
Last Friday, the Serie Project’s 16th suite of prints was unveiled at the Mexic-Arte Museum for the first time. Thanks again to everyone who helped to make this event a success; we had a very successful opening alongside the 14th annual Young Latino Artists exhibition.

Austin artist Carlos Pineda passed away on Monday, May 4th.
Carlos was loved and admired by many in the Austin Latino art community. His passing will leave a void in our community of artists and cultural leaders. He will be missed by all.
