Austin artist Luis Gutierrez is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio. He received his B.A. in Ethnic Studies of the Southwest United States. His work deals in the contemporary social issues of Chicano culture as well as symbolism from pre-Columbian art. He has exhibited in both the United States and Mexico.
