La ilustración es por demás eloquente

Alejandro Almanza

La ilustración es por demás eloquente, 2004

Screenprint

16 x 21.75 in

Edition of 60

Hailing from his native Mexico City, Alejandro Almanza has distinguished himself as a fresh, up-and-coming artist for the new millennium. Though formally trained in graphic design from the Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, Almanza is also currently expanding his artistic toolkit at the University of Texas at El Paso. With exhibits far and between Austin and El Paso, Almanza has trained in Maine and exhibited in New Jersey. For Serie XI, Almanza incorporated lines and solid shapes in a digital collage meant to illustrate how humans feel attracted to certain people. Of his work and the medium of art, Almanza states: "Art is a result of our [human] intelligence; the most artificial activity of human beings. I think art is a special skill that has been changing society." Considering Almanza's La ilustración es por demás elocuente or "The illustration is by far eloquent," The Serie Project couldn't agree more.
