Austin artist Connie Arismendi uses articles such as crutches and mirrors combined with masterful drawings on silk. In her ethereal, highly delineated drawings, she compares the human body with inanimate objects. Arismendi received a Master of Fine Arts from the Art Institute of Chicago and her BFA from the University of Texas in Austin. She has exhibited in Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, California, and New York.
