Largely self taught, David Elliot finds inspiration in a wide range of movements: Cubism, Surrealism, Latin and African folk art, and comic strips. Working primarily in oils and pen and ink, Elliott is constantly seeking to evolve and grow as an artist through practice. Of Anglo-Scottish descent, Elliott was born in Lubbock, Texas. He earned a BFA in Studio Art from the University of Texas at Austin and an MFA in Painting from the American University.
