Influenced by post-modernism and a desire to explore his Chicano heritage, Eduardo Garcia works primarily in collographs and etchings. His images are bold, clean-lined explorations of Mexican-American iconography. Born in Mission, Texas, Garcia earned a BA in English as well as a BFA in Art from the University of Texas Pan American. He continued his education with an MFA in Printmaking from the University of North Texas. Garcia maintains his own creative drive while seeking to inspire others through his teaching.
