Born in San Angelo and raised in Odessa, Texas, Tina Fuentes earned her B.F.A. and M.F.A. degrees at North Texas State University in Denton, Texas where she was trained in painting, drawing and printmaking. Much of her experience has been teaching art in Texas Public Schools, at the Waco Art Center, the University of Albuquerque, and now as drawing and design professor at Texas Tech University. She has numerous one-woman and group museum and gallery exhibitions to her credit throughout the U.S., and particularly in Texas and New Mexico.
