Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and now living in Dallas, Texas, artist Marilyn Jolly teaches at the University of Texas at Arlington. Jolly earned her B.A. at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha, Oklahoma and her M.F.A. at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. In speaking of this print, Jolly says the birds seem to be in conversation. The print is influenced by the many hours she spends in her garden under a very large Magnolia tree observing nature.
