Pedro Lujan

Huejotzingo II, 1999

Screenprint

10 x 25 in

Edition of 50

Born in El Paso, Texas, Pedro Lujan now lives and works in New York City. He earned his B.A. from the University of Texas at El Paso and his M.A. from Norwich University in Montpelier, Vermont. Of his work, Lujan says the dominant aspect of his art is the persistent attempt to conciliate the boundaries between the natural world and the psychic inner reality of dreams and fantasies. The art is composed of primeval open-ended symbols that are explorations and reverberations from the collective unconscious. The work is a portal between worlds opening in to a cosmos of reverie and enchantment.
