Formerly of San Antonio, Quintin Gonzalez earned his B.F.A. at the Kansas City Art Institute and his M.F.A. at the Yale School of Art. Gonzalez is fascinated with how an iconic image functions. This print is part of a body of work that addresses his interest in creating images based on the idea of invented icons and invented language as it affects personal reinvention. Gonzalez now resides in Boulder, Colorado where he is a professor of art at the University of Colorado.
