Austin artist David Moreno earned his B.F.A. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1986 and currently is self-employed as an illustrator and graphic designer. Moreno employs scratchboard as a fine art expression and has recently completed the illustrations for a re-edition of the classic story Ol' Yeller. Mona Maya, based on Leonardo's Mona Lisa, pictures Mona in traditional Mayan costume in a Yucatan pastoral setting.
