Rio Grande Valley artist Gerardo Medina earned a degree in Visual Communications at the Art Institute of Dallas and now works as a freelance graphic artist as well as in his various gallery affiliations in fine art. Medina cites as his influences the early Pop Art Movement and the Break Art Movement of Mexico. Medina believes that it is through art we are able to break our barriers of color and ethnic background and be brought together.
