Austin resident Marjorie Moore earned her B.F.A. from Syracuse University in Syracuse N.Y. Moore is the recipient of several grants and fellowships including an NEA Regional Fellowship. Her work is in collections of the Art Museum of South Texas, Corpus Christi, TX; Bowdoin College Museum of Art, Brunswick, ME; the Austin Museum of Art, Austin, TX; and several other museums. Susan Kalil has written, "Moore trusts in the things and objects she cares about, in the strange material that the sea of daily life washes up, no matter how ephemeral or elusive."
