Yvonne Leonard received her BFA from West Virginia University in Printmaking and Ceramics, and her MFA from The University of Texas at Austin in Printmaking. She has since held posts as Professor at Savannah College of Art and Design and Assistant Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University, and is currently Director of the Printmaking Program at SCAD. The Highway Dog depicts a balloon animal...a dog, suggesting that it might be bouncing merrily down the merciless highway.
