The role an intern
provides is one that is always needed—and welcomed—at
Coronado Studio. Internship positions vary between art
seasons and, due to lack of funding, are typically unpaid.
Internships that are currently available are completely
negotiable on the basis of time interning, labor done,
and letters of recommendation:
Graphics Intern
This position needs a versatile person who can work well
independently. Duties include designing brochures, posters,
and invitations and mailers for exhibitions and artist
receptions. The intern should be familiar with traditional
and digital photography and proficient in video production
and editing to be complemented with Adobe Premier. The
intern should also have a strong command with image-rendering
programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
This internship demands that someone be able to see each
task through from start to finish.
Marketing Intern
This internship will cover all areas of marketing for
the Serie Project and Coronado Studio, including writing
copy for advertising and marketing materials. Also covered
in this position is preparing public relation releases
for buyers, collectors, and the media. Following up with
exhibit contacts, assimilating as well as sending out
studio and project information, answering phones, and
attending planned events also scope the duties of this
internship.
Printmaking Intern
This position requires that the intern assist the master
printer. Duties include completing an inventory of supplies
and materials, preparing screens for printing, curating
and editing prints, and maintaining studio equipment
and printing areas; any other duties relative to serigraph
printing apply to the intern accordingly.
