Sam Coronado
Founder and Director
Sam Coronado began his career as an artist in 1969, when he was hired as a technical illustrator at Texas Instruments, and has worked in the graphic arts field ever since. He has owned art studios in Dallas, Houston, and Austin, and has illustrated books and magazines in the United States, Mexico, and France. He also co-founded the Mexic-Arte Museum in Austin, the state's official Mexican and Mexican-American art museum. Since 1986, Coronado has taught art and lectured on Chicano art in numerous museums, art schools, and universities throughout the United States. He is currently a Professor at Austin Community College in Visual Communication.
In 1993, he initiated the Serie project, Inc. At the Serie Project and Coronado Studio, Sam's print shop that exclusively produces screen-prints, Sam oversees the production of fine art prints and their travel to exhibition venues around the world.

Anna DesOrmeaux
Art Administrator
Anna, an alumna of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, completed her B.S. in Art History and Psychology in 2004 and her M.A. in Art History in 2007, focusing on Late Medieval and Early Renaissance Art. She is interested in documenting and preserving the history of the Serie Project and its participating artists, as well as promoting the Project through exhibitions. Anna loves Austin and the Serie Project! |
Michael
Rowland
Grants Administrator
Michael began as an intern in 2004 while completing
his degree in English Writing from St. Edward's
University. After graduating in 2006, he began
working part-time as Grants Administrator and
has enjoyed learning everything there is to know
about non-profit arts administration.

Tatiana
Reinoza
Archivist
Tatiana is currently pursuing a Masters in Art History at The University of Texas at Austin. The focus of her research is to document the contributions of contemporary Latin American and Latino artists in the United States. In 2004, Tatiana received her Bachelor of Arts in Art Studio from California State University Sacramento. At Serie, she coordinates the archives, safe-keeping of our prints and handles inventory.

Marketing Liason
Lori De La Rosa is a graduate of the University
of Texas-Austin with a degree in Marketing. She
has volunteered for the Serie Project since June
2006 and is the Catering Director for Bill Miller
BBQ in Austin. |
Helen Lopez
Media & Design Consultant
Helen is currently a student at Austin Community College and plans to transfer to Texas State University to study Communication Arts. At the Serie Project, she is in charge of photography, graphic, and printing needs for the organization.

Peter Kachtik
Webmaster
Peter graduated from Angelo State University (San Angelo) in 2005 with a B.F.A. in Studio Art. He joined the Serie Project in the Spring of 2008 as webmaster to help maintain and (hopefully) expand the project's website.

Brian Johnson
Master Printer
Brian Johnson is an artist/printmaker living in
Austin, TX. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from
the University of South Dakota in 1994 and his Master
of Fine Arts (MFA) from the University of Texas
at Austin in 1997. Along with teaching at both institutions,
he worked as the Master Printer for Coronado Studio’s
Serie' project from 1997 - 1999. Currently he serves
as an artistic/technical consultant and occasional
contract Master Printer for the studio. |

Master Printer
Began as an intern in March 1999 and now focuses
on commercial printmaking for Coronado Studio.
In addition, he is the owner of his own t-shirt
and poster printing business known as The Decoder
Ring, operated out of Coronado Studio.

Brian Rise
Apprentice Printer
Brian began working with the Serie Project as an intern at Coronado Studio in 2006. Along with his dedication to serigraph printing, he is interested in music and composition, graphic design, photography, and acting. He graduated from Towson University in 1990 with a B.S. in History and continued his education at American University, Shakespeare Theater, and Austin Community College.

Nicholas Henning
Printing Intern
Nicholas received his B.F.A. in Studio Art with a concentration in Printmaking and a minor in Art History from Indiana University at Bloomington. An accomplished artist who has participated in many group and individual exhibitions, he was awarded the Helga Keller Award for excellence in visual arts.
